Jason Momoa's "See" Is Looking For Extras In Ontario Next Month

Who hasn't once dreamt about getting the opportunity to work on a movie set? Because of filmmaker's exclusivity and secrecy, unless you work in the film industry, set life is one big mystery. Now, Apple TV+ is giving Canadians the opportunity to work on one of their hit shows, Jason Momoa's See season 2. You don't even need previous acting experience!

See takes place in a futuristic world where humans have adapted to live without vision. However, things are thrown upside down when Momoa's character, Baba Voss, along with his wife, gives birth to a set of twins that can see.

The first season aired last year on the streaming platform with a premiere of 3 episodes. It was quickly granted a second season that's set to start filming in St. Thomas, Ontario in February.

An open call was sent out by the St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation asking for eligible extras to work the six-month filming period.

Eligibility requirements for the position include being 18 years of age or older, comfortable wearing prosthetics, fur, and leather. They also have to be open to contact with other actors (because of the premise of the show) and a "natural feel."

Like any other job, they also require proof of your eligibility to work in Canada and the completion of safety training.

The posting also announced that filming for the series will be done outside, with days lasting up to 15 hours. They will provide costumes, but any other precautions to keep warm in the Canadian winter will have to be supplied by the extra.

If you're interested in the minimum wage position, you can also visit the Elgin Centre at 417 Wellington St. in St. Thomas on January 21 for an information session.

The Aquaman actor is no stranger to filming in Canada. He spent last year in Vancouver filming season one of the hit series.

He even ran into some trouble when he got stuck in a B.C. elevator for several hours.

Alongside Momoa, other actors returning for season 2 include Yadira Guevara-Prip, Sylvia Hoeks, Nesta Cooper, and Alfre Woodard.

Momoa is expected to make his way to Ontario over the next few weeks.
