Jim Carrey Painted A Portrait Of The Weeknd For His 30th Birthday (PHOTO)
Looks like The Weeknd isn't so heartless after all. The singer recently celebrated a milestone birthday and was gifted an awesome portrait, created by a fellow Canadian celebrity. As it turns out, Jim Carrey's painting skills are better than you may have thought.
Although The Weeknd's birthday was actually on February 16, the "After Hours" singer is still receiving gifts nearly two weeks later. In honour of turning 30, Carrey painted him a beautiful portrait which he shared on Twitter.
The photo shows a close up of The Weeknd's face, with the number 30 outlined over top. "thank you @JimCarrey! perfect birthday gift," he wrote in the caption.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Carrey is no stranger to picking up a paintbrush. The Mask actor has often shared his works with his fans on Twitter, including some portraits of President Trump.
For this reason, you may think Carrey is a Trump supporter, but it's actually the opposite—he uses his art as a way to troll the political leader, and has even created works that depict Trump as a scarecrow.
However, the artwork he created for The Weeknd actually seems to be a tasteful and meaningful gift.

February has been a huge month for The Weeknd. Not only did he celebrate his birthday, but he also announced via Instagram that his new album After Hours will be coming out on March 20. He released the title track from the same album and announced a tour that includes a total of six Canadian dates.
The tour will kick off on the west coast, starting with Vancouver on June 11. It will also include stops in Edmonton, Winnipeg, two dates in Toronto, and one in Montreal before wrapping up in Paris, France in November.
Despite all the reasons to celebrate, The Weeknd has found himself in a bit of hot water this month, along with fellow hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar.
The two are currently facing a lawsuit from a New York rock band called Yeasayer, who alleges that Lamar and The Weeknd's song "Pray For Me" plagiarises their song "Sunrise."
