Ready for another round, all you cool cats and kittens? A Joe Exotic movie is reportedly in development at Netflix. It already has one familiar cast member on board who you may know from Parks and Recreation and The Outsiders.

This upcoming movie follows the original eight-part series, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness that was released in mid-March and immediately gained attention from amused fans. By its tenth day on the platform, it had amassed over 34 million different viewers.

Talks of a sequel to the wild series came shortly after its release and a much-needed bonus episode landed in April, wrapping up everything we learned in the first seven episodes.

The series follows the Tiger King himself, Joseph Maldonado-Passage aka Joe Exotic, the former owner of a wild cat sanctuary in Oklahoma.

His passion for breeding and raising tigers and lions got himself into hot water when his rival Carole Baskin threatened to take down his zoo. In return, he hired a hitman to take her down instead, but got caught by police and landed himself in prison for 22 years.

Exotic is undeniably the star of the docuseries, despite his many husbands, zoo employees, and the current zoo owners who also made an appearance.

Luckily for avid fans, a blog post from Production Weekly on April 29 states that an "Untitled Joe Exotic Project" is currently in development.

What's On Netflix claims that the production schedule names Ryan Murphy as writer and producer, and Parks and Recreation star Rob Lowe as the only named cast member.

This development comes weeks after Lowe took to Instagram to share a photoset of him dressed up as the Tiger King star.

In the caption, he wrote, "Rob Exotic. UPDATE: Ryan Murphy and I will be developing our version of this insane story. Stay tuned!"

Murphy has worked as a creator, writer, director, and executive producer of series including Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and Hollywood.

It's unconfirmed whether Lowe will take on the lead role of Joe Exotic.

However, in an interview from early April between The Hollywood Reporter and Tiger King co-directors Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, they shared who Exotic has in mind to play himself if a scripted movie or TV series were to happen.

Brad Pitt or David Spade top Exotic's list of preferred actors to take on the role.

Spade was asked about playing the role of Joe Exotic during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres and responded, "I read this, I don’t know, it depends. There’s a show then it’s getting time off and all that."

"I thought it’s a funny idea, it’s more fun just to think who the casting would be just for something to do," Spade added. He named Woody Harrelson as a good choice for current zoo owner Jeff Lowe, and Channing Tatum for Exotic's former husband, John Finlay.

In the meantime, you can stream all eight episodes of the docu-series on Netflix or sink your teeth into more true-crime series that will keep you just as hooked as Tiger King.
