The dinosaurs are back but they’re not alone. The Jurassic World 3 cast involves Chris Pratt yet again, and he’s showing how much he loves filming in BC. He’s not the only familiar face in the cast either!

Pratt took over as the main character in the Jurassic World franchise in 2015. He stars opposite actors including Bryce Dallas Hoard, Irrfan Khan, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

He plays character Owen Grady, an expert in velociraptors who works as a handler at the theme park located on the same site as the original Jurassic Park. Howard's role as Claire Dearing is as the park's operations manager.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom premiered in 2018 and followed Owen and Claire as they tried to save dinosaurs on the island from a volcanic eruption that would wipe out the species.

The upcoming film will be released under the title Jurassic World: Dominion which director Colin Trevorrow confirmed with a shot of the clapperboard

Pratt shared the same photo on his Instagram account confirming that "Day 1 of 100" had begun.

In the caption, he also added, "JURASSIC WORLD do·min·ion /dəˈminyən/ 1. sovereignty or control. "man's attempt to establish dominion over nature” #JurassicWorldDominion Hold onto your butts."

On his Instagram story from the same day, Pratt is seen being driven down a stretch of road with the view of snowy mountains and the sunset.

Turning the camera so his viewers could be in awe too, he says, "Look at this beautiful drive. Kamloops, British Columbia is so beautiful. Good lord, that sun. Wow."

Victoria News reported that Gramercy Film Productions began shooting earlier this week. They wrote that "One of the company’s mobile units had a two-day park use permit for the Vancouver Island provincial park."

According to What's Filming, production in BC will only go until March 6.

After that, IMDb claims that filming will move to areas including England, Hawaii, Malta, the UK, and the US.

In a recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Pratt shared that he will be shooting the film "on and off until July".

The 40-year-old also confirmed that the original cast members would be returning for what could be the final film in the franchise.

That includes Laura Dern who plays Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill who you know as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm.

Dern also confirmed her return in the sixth film with the same photo of the official clapperboard. Her caption reads, "Shall we? #JurassicWorldDominion".

That means that she and Howard, who also shared the same image, are both in BC now as filming is underway.

You can catch Jurassic World: Dominion went it hits theatres on June 11, 2021.
