Fans who have been wishing for Justin Bieber's new music will be celebrating this afternoon after the Canadian pop star announced this morning that more music was on the way, following a short hiatus from singing in order to focus on his mental health.
The 25-year old ‘Love Yourself’ singer didn’t give any more information than that this morning, simply tweeting to his 106-million Twitter followers, “More music coming. Happy Sunday”. The simple post received more than 12,500 retweets and 43,000 likes in only a couple of hours.
The unexpected announcement comes only ten weeks after the singer took to his Instagram page to tell his 113 million followers that he would be taking a break from music, and not to expect anything new from him for a while.
In the long and heartfelt post, he wrote “So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”

The popstar also noted that he was going to spend some time “focused on repairing some of the deep-rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be.”
Despite this, Bieber did add, “I will come with a kick-ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable….the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so.”
The last album that was released by the Ontario singer was “Purpose” in 2015, which surpassed 1 million copies sold. Bieber also was a Spotify sensation, becoming the first musician to have six songs hit one billion streams. This followed him becoming the first artist with five singles that each has at least one billion streams.
Following the announcement of new music in the works, Bieber fans from around the world have taken to Twitter to share their excitement.
