Justin Bieber Just Announced His #Bieber2020 Tour & He's Stopping In 4 Canadian Cities
After weeks and weeks of teasing his fans with the promise of new content, Justin Bieber has finally delivered. This afternoon, the Canadian pop star shared some huge news on social media, and from the looks of things, Justin Bieber's 2020 tour might just be his biggest yet.
It's been over four years since we've gotten a new album from Bieber, so when the 25-year old promised new music earlier this year, the anticipation was high.
A few months back, the singer posted a photo to Instagram claiming that if he could get 20 million likes, he would release an album before Christmas.
Unfortunately, the number was a bit too ambitious and the post capped off at about 11.8 million likes, but it looks like Bieber still made sure he gave us a present in time for the holidays.
Today, December 24, the "As Long As You Love Me" singer posted a video to his YouTube channel, finally sharing what exactly it is that he's been working on lately. After watching, you'll understand why this new album has been taking so long.
In the video, Bieber announced that not only is a new album coming in the new year, but he'll also be releasing a new docu-series, and heading out on tour so fans can hear his new music live.
The tour will kick off on May 14 in Seattle, Washington, and the singer will stop in several other U.S. states before his first show in Canada at Ottawa's Canadian Tire Centre on September 1.
Other Canadian dates on the #Bieber2020 tour include Quebec City on September 3, Toronto on September 10, and Montreal on September 14.
Unfortunately for Canadians on the west coast, the Biebs has yet to announce any stops in B.C. or the Prairies, so it looks like a road trip may be in order if you're hoping to see him.
Although a release date for the album hasn't been made clear yet, Bieber's YouTube video from this afternoon did announce that a new single called "Yummy" will be dropping on January 3.
