Stratford born Justin Bieber has been painted in a negative light by the media for years, with all sorts of scandals popping up in the mid-2010s. Since then, he's cleaned up his act especially after his engagement and marriage to Hailey Baldwin. The couple keeps it pretty low key while living in their Beverly Hills mansion with their two pets. It seems like he's trying to right his wrongs because Justin Bieber's racist videos were just addressed in an apologetic Instagram post.

Stratford born Justin Bieber has been painted in a negative light by the media for years, with all sorts of scandals popping up in the mid-2010s. Since then, he's cleaned up his act especially after his engagement and marriage to Hailey Bieber. The couple keeps it pretty low key while living in their Beverly Hills mansion with their two pets. It seems like he's trying to right his wrongs because Justin Bieber's racist videos were just addressed in an apologetic Instagram post.

The 25-year-old took to social media yesterday to explain why he used to say "hurtful things" and the changes he wants to make.

Bieber wrote, "When I was young I was uneducated and found myself saying really hurtful things not knowing the power of my words. Racism is still very prevalent and I want to use my voice to remind we are all human beings and all of EQUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD!"

The caption was attached to a photo that says, "stand against racism" in all caps.

The main comments Bieber publicly made occurred in 2011 in a video parody of his song, One Less Lonely Girl. He replaced the word "girl" with the N-word and the video got posted online.

According to Vanity Fair, in June 2014 the singer apologized for his actions in a statement.

They reported that he said, "As a young man, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance."

Just before posting the first photo, he also shared a picture of a cartoon Christmas tree with the name of his fashion line, "drew" on it.

In the caption, Bieber wrote, "I'm determined this holiday season to take ownership of all my shortcomings and work on them for myself and the ones I love! What is your goal?"

The Christmas tree drawing is also his new profile picture, which comes just in time for the holiday season.
