Justin Trudeau’s Wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau’s Singing Has Made Headlines More Than Once

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is known for a lot of things, whether it’s being Canada’s "first lady", her former television career, her fashion sense or the many causes she champions on Instagram. One thing she is not known for is being a singer. That’s why it’s interesting that Justin Trudeau’s wife’s singing has made headlines not once but twice and is something people still search for online.
In the last couple of years Sophie Grégoire Trudeau's singing has echoed across Canada. But if you know a lot about her you'd know that she actually studied classical flute and guitar when she was younger and was even an arts and culture reporter later on so she knows a thing or two about music.
According to Mclean's, she has actually thought about recording an album one day.
That's not what got Canada talking though. Back in 2016, Grégoire Trudeau showcased her singing abilities twice, once at an event celebrating Martin Luther King Day and again at the Parliamentary Press Gallery dinner.
At the Martin Luther King event in Ottawa she gave an improptu performance of a song she had actually written herself for her daughter.
During the Parliamentary Press Gallery dinner, Grégoire Trudeau came out on stage during her husband's speech and poked fun at herself and her husband through song and even yoga.
Some found the display a bit odd but the Parliamentary Press Gallery dinner is, for lack of better comparisson, the Canadian equivalent of the White House Correspondents' Dinner so the comedic singing isn't totally out of left field.
Grégoire Trudeau has done many other things besides singing like speaking at WE Day and other conferences, posing on magazine covers and championing getting people outdoors in nature through Parks Canada just to name a few.
And she's done all of these more recently than she has sining!
But people keep coming back to her singing.
Though Grégoire Trudeau hasn't done any singing in the public eye for a while, people are still as intrigued as ever about her and her singing ability.
