Kate Beckinsale Thinks Her Doppelgänger Is Ryan Reynolds & We’re Really Confused

We all have that one friend that swears they look exactly like a celebrity but we just don't see it. On last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kate Beckinsale was that friend, and Fallon was the rest of the world. Kate Beckinsale found her Canadian look-alike and it's Ryan Reynolds but we're all extremely confused. 

Kate Beckinsale revealed last night that she could never work with Ryan Reynolds, the reason being she thinks that the two of them look too similar saying, "I can't be in the same room as him. Because one of us, I think, would explode, or something would happen."

She told Fallon that she looks "exactly like Ryan Reynolds" and that it's "shocking." Beckinsale even admitted that sometimes even posters of the Canadian actor make her uneasy: 

"Like, when sometimes, I see a bus going by with a poster on it I think, ‘Damn, I look hot. Oh, wait, that's not me. Also, I've never done that movie.'"

If you're questioning literally everything right now you're not alone. Beckinsale knows how bizarre her comparison is, she was even concerned that she saw herself in him in the beginning, "I've wrestled with how, obviously, he's not even like a sort of slightly-girly-boy-bander type."

Then she went on to describe Reynolds (and herself?) as "a big Canadian man."

On the bright side, we're not going insane because Fallon even admitted to not seeing the resemblance, even holding up a side by side comparison of the two. 

Considering she was born and raised in a completely different continent, it's also unlikely that they could be related at all. 

But Beckinsale is hard set on convincing the world of their similarities. She even promoted her Tonight Show Appearance with a photo of the comparison moment on Instagram.

What would really make this revelation even more hilarious is a response from Reynolds, but it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for that. 

One thing is for sure though, they're both two of the most attractive people in Hollywood, maybe that's what Beckinsale is seeing.
