Kendall Jenner Tries To Win Back Fans With Vulnerable Post After The Internet Called Out Her Proactiv BS

The haters were out in full force after Kendall Jenner's "special announcement" last week turned out to be a brand deal with Proactiv. Joining them were some of the model's most loyal fans who expected her highly-teased news to be something of actual consequence. In an attempt to win back support, Kendall took to social media to discuss her struggle with acne in her latest Instagram post.

Jumping on the #10YearChallenge train, Kendall shared some old photos in her Instagram Stories Thursday. The side-by-side images are of a smiling teenage Kendall with, well, less than perfect skin. "I was 13 and ran home crying every day because people would stare at my skin," she wrote.

In a lengthy Instagram caption, Kendall further detailed her struggle with acne, saying it made her "feel anxious, helpless and insecure." Her ~*vulnerable*~ words accompanied a present-day photo of Kendall sans makeup and acne-free. "As humans, I don't think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time where being 'perfect' is the standard," she wrote. Oh, Kendall, if only you'd stopped there.

Without explicitly naming Proactiv (she didn't need to since they sponsored the post), Kendall wrote about finally finding something that helps her maintain clear skin and claimed her goal is to "open up a dialogue around skin positivity." Okay, Kendall, we're down for long as it's HONEST.

Does she really expect us to believe Proactiv cleared up her skin??? Yeah, we're not buying it. I am totally here for the first half of her post because, yes, society has completely unreasonable standards ESPECIALLY where skin is concerned. But, I just can't get on board with Kendall packaging her vulnerability to sell false hope with Proactiv.
