Kid Shoveling Snow In Viral Video Can't Handle Canadian Winter (VIDEO)

One of the hardest parts about living in Canada is having to shovel snow. As an adult, it can be one of the most annoying and difficult things to do during winter, but as a kid, it can seem like an almost impossible task. A new viral video of a kid shoveling snow (or at least trying to) has us saying "same."

The video, originally posted to Facebook by Clarenville, Newfoundland native Samantha Burke-Balsom on January 6, shows a toddler helping with snow shovelling. Unfortunately, it only takes a few seconds for him to give up completely and just totally shut down. "Snow shovelling, the struggle is real. 🤣🤣❄️❄️ Our 14 month old Rory helping his dad shovel after a snowfall in Clarenville, Newfoundland 🇨🇦" Burke-Balsom wrote in her post.

What makes the video so perfect is that the kid doesn't just fall over. It's like he's completely done. He starts by slipping and sliding on the snowy surface, before just falling forward in total defeat. However, after getting picked back up again by his Dad, he keeps going, although it's anyone's guess how much energy he has left.

We've all been there, right? Facing down an unshoveled driveway, knowing that more snow is just around the corner, and wondering why even bother with the task of clearing all the white stuff just to have to do it again tomorrow.

Obviously this kid is learning early that winter is not all sledding and snowman-building, but his total shutdown in the face of wintry adversity has people hooked, which is why the video has gone viral on social media.

On Facebook, the original post has already racked up 1.7 million views. It's also been shared 59,000 times.

The video was also posted on Instagram by AreaCode416ix with the caption "14 Month Old Kid From Clarenville, Newfoundland Tryna Learn The Shovel Game Early 😂😂😂." There, the video has been viewed over 5,000 times in 2 hours.

The video was even shared on Twitter by former NBA player Rex Chapman.

If anything, this kid is in for an even worse day of shovelling as more snow is expected to hit both Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
