It's hard not to love poutine. The classic Canadian comfort food consisting of squeaky cheese, salty gravy, and French fries is hard to beat. The largest poutine festival in the world will be happening next month and it's every Canadian's dream come true. La Poutine Week 2020 is kicking off its eighth year and will be bigger and better than ever before.

This year there will be a mindblowing 400 participating restaurants, and we got the inside scoop on the insane flavours you'll be able to try.

Across the country, we are serious when it comes to finding excellent poutine. You can get anything from five-pound super-sized versions that come in punch bowls to one that is unicorn-inspired.

But from Saturday, February 1 to Friday, February 7, Canadians will get the chance to celebrate the tasty dish at what is arguably the most Canadian food festival ever.

Venues in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba will compete to create the most mouth-watering dish possible.

This year, you'll be able to try a unique range of sweet and savoury options, including toppings from a half-pound burger to cheesecake.

As of Friday, January 24, 2020, you'll be able to visit the official website of all the participating locations near you.
