This 7.6-km Alberta Hike Leads You To A Hidden Crystal Clear Lake & A Mountain Teahouse

A beautiful hike that takes you to one of these great views is Lake Agnes Trail.
Near Lake Louise, this 7.6 kilometre out and back trail is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the province.
Even the drive there is stunning.
Labelled as moderate, the hike is perfect for anyone looking to get out of the house and into the fresh air.

The hike starts off in front of a gorgeous and massive lake near Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The hotel itself is a landmark so take some time and explore the grounds. People come from far and wide to see Lake Louise so the area might be a little crowded. Don't worry, it's totally worth it.
When you're walking along the path, you will see a signpost marked “Lake Agnes Trail" and that's how you know you made it to the right starting point.
The trail begins with an uphill climb and some switchbacks so you’ll definitely get your cardio in for the day.
Once at a higher elevation you will begin to see bits and pieces of the lake below. Keep walking because the best views are just around the corner.
Eventually, you will make your way to the mountainside teahouse. You’ll see the signs, don’t worry.
The original teahouse was built in the 1900s but since then, parts have been redone.
Here, you can get all the supplies and goodies you need including tea, hot chocolate, and maybe even a sweet treat or two.
In addition to the teahouse are amazing views of crystal clear water.
On a clear and sunny day, the lake acts as a mirror and you can see the reflection of the surrounding mountains in the water.
Like any hike, it can be done any time of year but the best time to go is in the spring or summer months.
Once all the snow is melted, it won't be slippery and you can enjoy getting your tan on while getting in some physical activity.
