Calling all love-birds. The 'wedding-capital' is open for business, so couples can finally exchange vows they may have had to put off temporarily. The reopening of the Clark County Marriage License Bureau means people can now apply for their paperwork and finally get hitched. There is even a mobile wedding service that will come right to anyone's front door for easy-access nuptials.
Clark County just announced it will be reopening one of its offices on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Couples can swing by the office between 8 a.m. and midnight, any day of the week to grab their marriage license.
The office is requesting that all couples complete their applications online before arriving and to have their government IDs ready. Credit cards are also required for fast and secure payment.
From there, mobile services like The Las Vegas Wedding Wagon can bring a preplanned ceremony to you anywhere in the city.
This past month, people have been unable to apply for a marriage license that would allow them to tie the knot.
Now, with the reopening of one office, couples can submit their information and get back on the road to matrimony.
The mobile wedding service provides everything from strip weddings to backyard affairs, all as long as each event is in line with social distancing regulations.
Their online booking system lets people pick their location, date, time, and any other unique preferences regarding their upcoming nuptials.
"We are very excited at the news today that the bureau will be opening before the end of the month," the Wedding Wagon told Narcity during an interview.
The mobile services start at $129 and can take place anywhere within the city. They also require the marriage license to be present.
The licenses from the bureau are good for one year, so couples can either get married right away or hold out while they organize details for a later date.
Though many of the chapels around town remain closed, the option to exchange vows has not been completely removed from the table, thanks to the bureau's reopening.
With services like mobile weddings, couples can still celebrate their special day, even if in a slightly more unconventional way than they initially planned.
