EDC has been a popular topic of conversation for Las Vegas partygoers as of late. The Electric Daisy Carnival has been postponed until October due to new Nevada regulations regarding large gatherings. This new fall date could mean even wilder outfits inspired by Halloween.

As a proactive response to Nevada's Stay At Home order, EDC organizer Pasquale Rotella posted the following statement on their Instagram,

"The team and I took every single factor into consideration: weather, hotel rates, talent availability, coordination with the Speedway and local officials, and most importantly, a date that would give us enough time for things to get back to normal so we can all come together stronger than ever."

EDC usually takes place every May in Las Vegas and is a huge event dedicated to gorgeous lights, epic DJ sets, and all things bright and colorful.

Though the carnival was postponed due to COVID-19, the organizers set a date for fall.

The new dates are for October 2 - 4, 2020, and will be the 10th year the festival has taken over the Las Vegas Speedway.

This isn't the only gathering that has been rescheduled or canceled due to COVID-19. Many festivals, including Coachella, had to switch up their dates to ensure the safety of their ticket-holders.

The organizers also mentioned on their Instagram post that refunds would be available for those who could not attend the new dates.

The post goes on to say that "nothing changes but the date," so fans should be able to expect the same headliners as the May dates promised.

It will be a different experience in Sin City since the festival usually takes place as the city is gearing up for summer.

However, the event's organizers assure it was the "best decision." As of now, tickets are sold out, but there is a waitlist for those hoping to grab a ticket amid refund requests.

With the shutdown of everything from casinos and local bars, it may be a while before we see any big festivals light up the desert horizon.
