One of the absolute best feelings is when something you loved as a kid seems to make an appearance in your adult life. Like an old childhood doll suddenly becoming a collectors item worth $13,000. Or a toy you spent hours playing with making popping up and colliding with an adult hobby. Which is what Legobar has done with everyone's favourite interlocking plastic building bricks.
Legobar is a new pop up bar made entirely out of ... well lego. The bar will consist of of over 1 million blocks and it promises to have "sculptures made completely from lego bricks as well as an abundance of blocks for people to shape into their own creations. There will also be local DJ’s spinning tunes all day."
Ever wished you'd drink in a bar made entirely of @lego, while playing with it? Well, be careful what you wish for because Legobar is coming to Australia! Consisting of over one million bricks, and filled with Lego sculptures, will be the first of its kind and allows grown-up kids to take a trip down memory lane as they build their own masterpieces while listening to local DJs. Excited? So are we! Legobar will be coming to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane in Autumn 2018. #lego # #nevergrowup #legobar #legosculpture #au #melbourne #perth #brisbane #popup #retailnews #popup #popupshop #WAPUnews #popupevent #popupexperince #popupbar #popupeatery #booze #drink #beer #cocktail #nightout #goingout #legographer #legostagram #legoexplorers #legostarwars #bricks #legominifigure
The bar will be making its way to four Canadian cities - Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary this Spring 2018 and while there aren't too many details on the event, the Legobar website allows those interested to sign up for presale tickets, which will be doled out on a first come, first serve basis.
The Legobar pop-up will also be making its way to different areas of Australia, London, L.A., and New York. For anyone interested in staying in the loop, check out the Legobar website here.
