YouTube Star Valeria Lipovetsky Opens Up About Life As A Model In Canada
She's gorgeous, smart, strong and has amaaazing style.
Valeria Lipovetsky has quickly become a well known name in the Canadian blogger world. She's beautiful, strong, independent, inspiring and she has amaaaazing style.
Valeria Lipovetsky is a 27-year-old model living in Toronto, Ontario. She started modelling at the very young age of 15 and has traveled across the world, living in cities like Tokyo, New York, Paris and Barcelona.
Since she settled down in Canada, she's quickly taken over the blogger's world. She's now known for spreading her love (and style) across YouTube and Instagram reaching 760,000 followers each day!
She's also a mother to two beautiful boys and she has a third on the way! She met her husband when she was only 19 and got married at 21! Valeria has lived a fast-paced beautiful life and we wanted to ask her all about it!
1. What is a typical day like in the life of Valeria?
My day always starts out the same: I wake up at 6:00 a.m. and get my sons dressed, fed, and out the door to school, which can always be a fun challenge! From there, things really vary for me depending on what I have scheduled.
Sometimes I spend the day in the office editing, sometimes I spend the day traveling for meetings, and sometimes I spend the day shooting something creative in studio. No matter what, I try to be as organized as possible with my work scheduling so I can fit in as much as possible between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
2. What’s the most exciting part of being an influencer?
Having the ability to connect with a large audience of incredible people with the same interests as me is definitely the most exciting part. I receive so many messages on a daily basis from girls who want to chat about nutrition, fashion, beauty, self-love, empowerment — they are the reason why I wanted to start sharing my passions on social media!
3. What is the modelling industry like in Canada?
I have been very lucky to model in Canada. I feel like Canada has a warmer environment than other big markets because you have the opportunity to work with the same talent a lot, which contributes to a feeling of family. There is so much creativity and talent here, and I’m really excited that it is finally starting to get the spotlight and recognition it deserves.
4. How did you get started on YouTube and Instagram?
I actually first got started with a blog, but blogging was very comfortable for me because I could write and edit posts and hide behind a screen. I reached a point in my life where I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, which is when I made the decision to get started on YouTube because it was the scariest platform to tackle. Once I started on YouTube, Instagram followed naturally.
5. Name 5 things that you always have in your purse when you leave the house.
- Rose water mist (to help wake me up and freshen up my skin throughout the day)
- Lip balm
- Sun screen
- Wet wipes (if you are a parent, you know why this is a necessity)
- Lollipops (you know, just in case I need a bribe for the kids!)
6. Describe your go-to outfit this summer.
During the summer, my go-to is always flowy summer dresses. They are so easy to dress up and dress down — I’ve been wearing mine casually lately with white sneakers. Jumpsuits and rompers are also always a go-to.
7. Do you have any styling tips for summer?
Above all else, make sure that you are comfortable in what you are wearing. There is nothing worse in the summer than being uncomfortable, hot, and sweaty — it’s just not cute!
Another thing I recommend in the summer is to get outside your comfort zone with colours. Get a few pieces that you can easily mix in with your basic neutrals to give your wardrobe a bit more of a summer vibe. Finally, a couple of trendy staple accessories can elevate any look — I’m currently obsessed with cat-eye sunglasses and gold hoops.
