Kraft Dinner was an iconic part of many of our childhoods and honestly, many university years too (broke student life). KD's quick and easy mac and cheese has been a staple in kitchens and dorm rooms across Canada for ages. However, it seems that this once-beloved brand is no longer a Canadian favourite.
Canadians have not been shy about ripping Kraft Dinner apart for a noticeable decrease in quality. A thread was even started on Reddit Canada by user KoopaStew about the issue. He asked, "Why is Kraft Dinner so terrible now?" and went on to explain how the iconic mac and cheese dish has gone downhill.
"For about the last year I have noticed that Kraft Dinner doesn't taste the same as it used to," wrote KoopaStew."For a while, I just thought I had gotten a few boxes that had gone bad, but this can't be the case". He listed several reasons why it is no longer taste worthy, ripping apart the pasta noodles, sauce, and taste.
This led hundreds of people to comment their agreement on the Reddit thread. Many people say that the recipe has changed — and not for the better.
Based on their replies, a new brand has officially earned the title of Canada's favourite mac and cheese. Move over Kraft Dinner, because "President's Choice White Mac" has won over the hearts of Canadians everywhere.
Canadians haven't just been hating on Kraft Dinner on Reddit, but Twitter too. Check out what people have had to say about the once-beloved mac and cheese dish.
