1. Start An Instagram Account

Instagram is the best platform for travel influencers to use because it's the perfect way to showcase their amazing travels. People seek out travel Instagram pages because they love to admire a life that they all wish they had so it's the best place to start from.

2. Understand That This Will Become Your Full Time Job

Travelling and taking pictures is not going to be an easy feat. You have to understand going in that you'll most likely be quitting your 9-5 job and actual make a business for yourself, after all this will become a business.

3. Have A Plan For How You Will Make Money From The Start

A lot of people go into this with the idea that they'll start their blog and the money will come later. But this isn't actually the right approach. You need to figure out a plan on how you will make money before you even start out.

There's tons of courses online that will teach you how to do this so you have an idea before you set out on your globe trotting adventures.

4. Have Money Set Aside Already

This one is super important because chances are you won't make a ton of money right off the bat when you start out. You should have enough money set aside that will last for at least 3 months of travelling without any income. Depending on where you're going this amount will vary.

5. Find Your Own Niche

There's TONS of travel blogs out there right now but people will connect to you more if you have your own niche or 'brand' that you focus on mostly. If you're a single female travelling on your own, that's a niche! Find one that works for you and that you love talking about and stick to it.

6. Set A Schedule For Your Posts

It's great to have a schedule to stick to, especially when you're travelling because everything is up in the air. Whether you'll be posting 3 times a day, once a day or once a week, it's good to have something to aim for and for your followers to look forward to.

7. Do Interesting Things

This one sounds so simple and silly but it's true! Once you're out there travelling you've got to do things that keep people interested. Don't just go for a regular hike and take a picture of you at the top, do crazy things like walking across India, camping in Antarctica or any crazy, exciting thing you can think of.

8. Invest In A Good Camera

A lot of people are able to take amazing pictures with their iPhones but that probably won't cut it if you want to become a travel blogger. There's tons of amazing options depending on what you're looking for in a camera like a Canon Powershot for the classic point and shoot cameras, a Fuji X-T1 for a mirrorless camera, or a Canon Rebel for DSLR cameras.

9. Pitch Your Work To Brands

Once you've started to get out there and take amazing pictures you can pitch yourself to brands to endorse their products. But don't just talk about yourself when you're pitching, make it all about them and their amazing brand and how you'll fit in with them and not the other way around.

1. Start A Youtube Channel

The most popular platform for makeup influencers to post their tutorials is on Youtube. Youtube is where everyone goes to lookup makeup tutorials so it's the smartest place to start gaining a faithful audience.

2. Make Sure Your Videos Show Your Biggest Personality

Some people have naturally loud and vibrant personalities that translate on camera but for a lot of people it doesn't come easy. You need an exciting and engaging personality when you're making Youtube tutorial videos to keep people interested and coming back for more.

3. Avoid Writing A Script Beforehand

The best makeup influencers don't stick to a script while they're recording a video. They might have a few main points they've written down that they want to hit, but it's best to learn how to love the sound of your voice and just have a natural conversation with yourself.

4. SMILE!

As someone who knows the struggle of having a resting b*tch face, I know it can be hard to keep a happy, smily face on constantly without slipping and people thinking you're pissed off for no reason. But when you're filming videos you can't slip up with this one. Make sure you're smiling as much as possible so people can connect with you and enjoy watching your videos!

5. Use Other Platforms To Promote Your Videos

Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook will become your best friends on your road to becoming a makeup influencer. Once you make a video share it on all of these platforms so you can reach a larger audience. If you don't love the idea of sharing it on your personal social media accounts you can make separate ones for the sole purpose of your makeup biz.

6. Find A Video Editing App That You Love

You're definitely going to need a good video editing app to edit out any mistakes you might have made during the video, any ramblings you might want to cut out or just to speed up or slow down the process to make it interesting for your viewers to watch. There's tons of free video editing software available on the app store, but a super popular and simple one is iMovie.

7. Make A 3-Month Plan For Your Channel

It's hard to look into the future and know exactly what you're going to be doing, but it's essential that you have some sort of idea in advance. Start with planning out some video topics and then assigning publication dates to them for all your social media accounts. The more detailed the better but obviously, leeway is allowed.

8. Have At Least 2-3 Videos Ready To Post Before You Launch

You probably have other things going on in your life like school or a full time job that take up a lot of your time so putting out videos on time won't be as easy as you expected. If you make a few videos beforehand you'll have some stored for backup if you get behind schedule.

9. End Each Video With A Call To Action And Ask For Feedback

At the end of each video ask your followers to like and subscribe to your channel, ALWAYS. Share links to your other social media accounts as well as other options to stay up to date with your content. It's always good to engage with your audience so ask them to comment with feedback, suggestions or requests for videos from you in the future!

1. Find Your Niche

This is probably the most important first step, because it's going to dictate your audience. Do you want to focus on vintage clothing? Contemporary fashion? Style on a budget? Keep it simple and make sure you're always consistent with it.

2. Start An Instagram Account And A Website

You can start with just one and it doesn't really make a difference, either or, whichever one you find is easiest for you. But for fashion blogs it's really important to have both. Your Instagram will be simple photos with a short blurb about the clothes and your website can be a more in-depth description of how you put the outfit together or where you bought the pieces.

3. Buy Your Domain Name

Once you decide on a name for your blog, something unique to you, you're going to want to purchase it so no one else can steal it from you. This way you can ensure that your brand stays intact when you're blog takes off.

4. Create Quality Content

This one is a no-brainer but your followers are going to be following your blog because they love your content so you have to make sure it's up to par. Write a few blog posts in advance before you start and plan your shoots out ahead of time.

5. Collaborate With A Photographer

This is a great way to ensure that you're getting the best quality pictures for your blog. With collaboration comes promotion on two different accounts, which will be great for you to gain followers. They can promote you on their site and you can promote them on yours, it goes both ways!

6. Network Your Heart Out

This is a great way to get your brand and your blog out there. Talk to other fashion bloggers, influencers and marketing agencies that represent brands that you love. Ask them to add you to their media list and show them photos of you wearing the brand and that you would be a great fit.

7. Hustle. Hard.

Starting your own fashion blog is going to be a ton of hard work and it might take a while until you're able to reap the rewards. Just know that going into this, it's going to be tough but if you love what you're doing and you're dedicated, it will definitely pay off!

1. Start An Instagram Account

Okay, so it may seem like I keep repeating the same thing in this list but Instagram is the key platform if you want to become an influencer of any kind basically. Food is especially big on Instagram so make a separate account for you food page and make sure you choose a catchy handle!

2. Follow Popular Food Instagram Accounts In Your Area

The best way to get started with your own food page is to follow other food pages that are already successful in your area. Depending on what kind of food Instagram you want to become, you should follow all the similar pages to yours and even get in touch with them for collaborations.

3. Use Popular Food Hashtags In Your Area

This one is key to gaining engagement in your page. Restaurants, bloggers and other food pages search through popular food hashtags to find pages like yours so never post a photo without using one of those hashtags!

4. Natural Light Will Become Your Best Friend

Every food photographer will tell you that the key to an amazing picture of food isn't how great the food itself looks but whether there was enough natural light used to take the picture. If there isn't enough natural light it might pay off to invest in some LED lights to use in case of emergencies.

5. Invest In A Good Camera For Still Photos

This obviously isn't a necessity right away because you can take amazing still photos with your iPhone but if you want to take it to the next level, an amazing camera will definitely do the trick. It also might be a good idea to invest in a tripod as well.

6. Engage In Other People's Posts

The best way to get your account out there is to be aggressive from the start. Comment on other food bloggers posts and reach out to famous ones for a repost from time to time. It would be great exposure if you succeed and all it takes is a good pitch!

7. Choose A Schedule For Posting

Some accounts say the best thing is to post three times a day, one at every major meal time so it would be 9am, 12pm and 9pm or even later depending on when your followers are most active. But it is up to you to just the best schedule for you as long as you stick to it.

8. Self Promote Like Crazy

If you have an Instagram account for personal use and a separate one for your food Instagram promote yourself on your personal Instagram all the time! Tell all your family, friends and even acquaintances about your page and ask them to follow you, no shame in this business!

1. Post Constantly Throughout The Day

One of the best ways to start a relevant and exciting fitness Instagram account is to post constantly throughout the day, or at least 2-3 times. This way people will constantly see your posts on their feeds throughout the day and won't forget about your account.

2. Use Popular Fitness Hashtags

This is one of the easiest ways for people to find your account when they're searching for a new fitness blog to follow. They'll look up popular tags like #fitspo and #cleaneating or any other ones that famous fitness influencers use.

3. Tag Places Or Brands That You Use

If you want to be reposted by brands that you feature in your photos, you have to remember to tag them! Say you love wearing UnderArmer workout clothes, tag them! Say you eat Eli Quark yogurt for breakfast, tag them! You might even get some free stuff out of this eventually.

4. Engage With Other Popular Fitness Accounts

The best way to get involved in the fitness community is to comment, like and follow popular fitness accounts. They'll follow you back and start engaging in your content as well and then your follower base will grow.

5. Give Your Followers Variety

The key to a good fitness account isn't always just one thing. Instead of only posting healthy food pictures, add in pictures of your workout outfits, videos of you working out with your a tutorial in the comments or even motivational quotes once in a while!

6. Post Giveaways When You Hit Follower Markers

A great way to get your account even more exposure is to use giveaways. When you hit a certain amount of followers like 1,000 or more post a giveaway including a box some kind of healthy snacks that you like or workout apparel, ask your followers to repost it and tag you and choose a winner! This way your name will get out to even more people and you can give back to your already faithful followers.

7. Work On Your Content

Your content is obviously the star of the show here. The best thing to do is look back through your feed once in a while and see what's been getting the most amount of engagement with your followers. If it's your workout videos/tutorials for example post more of them because that's what's getting you noticed!
