If you thought that chivalry was dead, thanks to the new age of dating that favours swiping right, you couldn't be more wrong. At least that's the case for one of 247 Nicoles on University of Calgary's campus.
The crazy story began when a University of Calgary student named Nicole MacMillian took to Twitter to share that a man named Carlos, who is also a student at the university, sent an email to 247 students named Nicole- every single Nicole on the campus directory. In the email, Carlos claimed he met a wonderful girl named Nicole and was looking for her, after realizing that her number wasn't the right one when he got home.
What ended up happening was, most likely, much more than Carlos could have ever anticipated. His email ended up turning into a mini-movement to find "Nicole From Last Night," the search even getting itself it's own Facebook group run by the fellow Nicoles on campus. Most of the girls CC'd in the email even met up on campus to grab food together!
Now, if you are dying to know whether Carlos ever found the right Nicole, you're in for a treat. It turns out that Nicole from Holland did accidentally give Carlos the wrong number and wanted to meet up with him! Though because she is an exchange student from Holland, the actual Nicole Carlos intended to reach didn't even get the email he sent! It was thanks to the work of all the other Nicole's on campus that got she got in contact with him.
If you're worried that Nicole from Holland purposely gave Carlos the wrong number, it doesn't seem to be the case. Nicole MacMillan assured Twitter users that she had made sure her fellow Nicole actually did want to chat with Carlos before putting him in contact with her.
also yes we found the real nicole, she gave him a fake number on total accident, they are now in contact!!!! it had an all around GREAT ENDING— Nicole Macmillan (@nicolesantanaa) September 8, 2018
So, for now, it's safe to say our faith in young love is definitely restored thanks to this happy ending. All the best to Nicole #248 and Carlos!
