If you're still waiting for your acceptance letter from Hogwarts, you've probably dreamt about spending Christmas in the wizarding world: a feast in the Great Hall, Butterbeer in Hogsmeade, and festive decorations around Hogwarts Castle.
Well, your long wait is over, because beginning today, Universal Studios Hollywood (Orlando theme parks kicked off the festivities on November 18th) is bringing Potter fans a snowy, wizard-style British Christmas. And all your favourite HP locations - from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley to King's Cross station - have been transformed into a winter wonderland.
And yes, Christmas at Hogwarts is every bit as magical as you'd imagine.
Universal's new Harry Potter holiday celebration features festively decorated storefront displays, holiday merch and, of course, the much-anticipated return of hot Butterbeer, which will be sold in the famous wizarding pub The Three Broomsticks along with other Christmas grub.
Press got an early sneak peek at the Wizarding World's festive makeover last week, complete with a preview of the magical light projection that will be superimposed on Hogwarts Castle and the iconic Harry Potter music that will be paired with it.
And in addition to the much-anticipated Butterbeer (which you can get hot, cold or frozen), Mashable reports that the park is also serving up holiday dinner complete with roast turkey, gravy, pigs in blankets, roasted red potatoes and the festive British staple of Christmas Pudding for dessert.
And remember those toad-holding Christmas carollers from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? If you loved the singing amphibians, you can also treat yourself to Hogwarts' a capella Frog Choir, though I think most of us would rather sit down with a nice hot Butterbeer in The Three Broomsticks instead.
The event continues through until January 8th. Tickets can be bought here.
