You Can Channel Your Inner Badass Babe At This Ax-Throwing Spot In California

Ax us a question and we’ll tell you no lies.
You Can Go Ax Throwing In Los Angeles And It’s the Ultimate Bad Ass Babe Experience

When you think about what’s trending in California, ax throwing probably doesn’t make the list. We’ve found the coolest local spot that changes that. You can channel your inner badass babe at this epic California ax-throwing hot spot.

You'll find LAAX (all pun intended) in Hollywood at a massive 12,500 square foot warehouse. The inside is similar to a bowling alley since there are lanes where you can play in a group setting or practice your throws solo.

Don’t worry; it’s safe. You must be 21 years or over to enter LAAX, and experts train you before each group begins throwing. Close-toed shoes are mandatory for participation.

Public walk-ins begin at $25 per hour, and you don't need a reservation for a small group.

Private group bookings start at $40 per person for groups of 6-24 people. Forty-eight-hour advance reservations are required.

You can come in groups as small as two or as large as 299! It’s a great arm workout, tbh. It's open daily.

If you’re not familiar with ax-throwing, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Guests go to test their marksmanship and throw axes at a target, just like you would in a game of darts.

According to LA Eater, this ax-throwing trend is loosely based on a Canadian past time and the first ax-throwing bar opened in Toronto in 2006.

It’s all about the art of hitting the bullseye! We think this would be a super-fun idea for a bachelor or bachelorette party - just sayin’.

After everyone is trained on safety protocol, your coaches will start a Round-Robin tournament where you can compete with friends. Only one of you will be crowned champion. Then you can brag about being more prepared for a zombie apocalypse.

If you’re interested in testing your skills, you can opt for a group setting, private classes, and even a league at LAAX.

If you want to continue in your adrenaline junkie adventure, you can also check out this super fun alpine slide where you can race your friends through the mountains at Big Bear.
