Since the busy season for home improvement is on the way, Lowe's Canada is looking to fill a bunch of roles in its network of stores.
There are more than 4,700 full-time and part-time seasonal jobs and 700 regular ones to apply for this spring.
To kick off the hiring campaign, Lowe's Canada is having its third National Hiring Day on March 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at all Lowe's, RONA and Reno-Depot stores across Canada.
The available positions include cashiers, sales associates, administrative support associates, appliance sales specialists, customer service associates, drivers and more.
Plus, you don't need experience in the home improvement industry because all new employees get training and mentoring for their specific positions.
Every province except for P.E.I. have stores with jobs up for grabs.
There are about 275 positions available in B.C., 500 in Alberta, 100 in Saskatchewan, 70 in Manitoba, 2,175 in Ontario, 1,550 in Quebec and 30 in Atlantic Canada.
On the hiring day, you can visit your local store to meet the management teams. You might even get a job offer that same day.
Make sure to bring two pieces of ID, at least one with a photo, and your resume with you to the hiring day and be ready for an on the spot interview.
"Our seasonal employees play a vital role in our organization by supporting our stores during our industry's peak months, from May to September, enabling us to provide the same exemplary level of customer service. We are seeking driven, dynamic, and customer-focused applicants to join our teams," said Marc Macdonald, senior vice president of human resources at Lowe's Canada, in a news release.
Lowe's, RONA and Reno-Depot stores boast benefits like exclusive employee discounts, student incentive programs, an inclusive and safe working environment, a sustainable development program and more.
If you're in school, the hiring date for most of the seasonal jobs is flexible to accommodate your schedule.
You can also find available positions online if you can't make it out to the National Hiring Day.
This massive hiring campaign comes after a bit of a hit at the beginning of the year, when 34 Lowe's, RONA and Reno-Depot stores closed in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia because they were underperforming.
