Luka Magnotta’s Husband Is Also A Prisoner Serving A Life Sentence

The pair tied the knot behind bars back in 2017.

Ever since Don't F*** With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer hit Netflix earlier this month, the story of the Canadian murderer that inspired the docu-series has been making waves. As it turns out, Luka Magnotta's husband Anthony Jolin is also a killer, and they have a pretty interesting life in prison.

If you're not familiar with Magnotta, the Scarborough-born convict first gained attention when he posted a video online of him brutally torturing and killing kittens.

After that, it wasn't long before the 37-year-old struck again, this time much more intensely, filming and posting a video of him killing and dismembering international student, Jun Lin.

Magnotta was eventually caught for his crimes and was given a life sentence back in 2014. He's been serving his time at Quebec's Port-Cartier Prison.

It's easy to assume that life behind bars is absolutely brutal, but from the sounds of things, Magnotta's life isn't all that bad. In fact, he even found love while incarcerated.

According to the Toronto Sun, the murderer signed up for a dating site called Canadian Inmates Connect back in 2015 and was hoping to connect with "a 'prince charming' who was white, in good shape, between 28 and 38 years old."

Magnotta found his prince in the fellow convicted murderer, Anthony Jolin, who is also currently serving a life sentence.

The Toronto Sun reported that Jolin has committed a long list of crimes over the years, including robbery with a firearm, which landed him six years.

Jolin and fellow convict Jonathan Hache stabbed another inmate, Kevin Whynder, to death in a prison shower back in 2003.

The couple married back in 2017, although the Correctional Service of Canada denied them a night alone inside the prison's private room, according to iHeartRadio.

If you want to learn more about Magnotta's chilling life before prison and the horrendous crimes he committed, be sure to check out the docu-series about hunting him down on Netflix.
