Meghan Markle Has Officially Picked Her Wedding Dress Designer

After months of speculation as to who will be designing the Royal wedding dress, Meghan Markle has picked a designer. This job is no small feat for any designer in the fashion world, as the dress will become both a calling card and cultural piece for years to come.
Many of the world's most renowned fashion houses began planning creating in hopes of being selected to design Meghan's dress.E! just recently confirmed that with the help of Jessica Mulroney, Meghan's best friend and stylist to the stars, the exact designer has been selected. The two have been hard at work to find inspiration and create the perfect gown.
"This was Meghan's first fitting with the designer and a chance for her and Jessica to look through a number of different designs. "Alongside dress planning, Jessica is guiding Meghan through a number of wedding day details, helping pull together ideas and resources from her impressive contacts book."
Apart from Meghan and Jessica, only three other people know who is designing the Royal wedding dress. We can assume one of these three is Meghan's husband-to-be, Prince Harry. A source reveals that, "Harry made himself scarce, giving the girls plenty of private time to kind of have their meetings with the designers and, of course, choose other wedding elements. Harry's kind of made it clear that he wants to make this about Meghan."
"During the appointment, Meghan was able to narrow down what she liked and disliked. Some of their favorite design elements includes embroidery and sleeves," similar to her sister-in-law Kate Middleton's wedding dress.
Meghan once gushed that Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's simple wedding dress was "everything goals." In a 2016 interview, Meghan revealed that her ideal gown would be, "very pared down and relaxed. Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist. I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic."
Meghan also gave a sneak peak as to who she may have selected to design her gown noting, "Delphine Manivet and Christos Costarellos are faves of mine for their uniqueness and beauty. And I will always be a fan of Ellie Saab. J. Mendel is spectacular as well, especially for more structural designs."
