The time is finally here! After what seems like forever, we finally get to say it. It was announced on May 6th, and while we will have to wait a little while for pictures, we finally know the gender. But here it goes... Meghan Markle just gave birth!
In an Instagram post, Sussex Royal confirmed after speculation that Meghan was in labour, that she had given birth. The Instagram post says, "We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019."
I know what you're all thinking, is it a boy or a girl?! Well, they announced that too. While there is no name given or really any more information, it's a... boy!!!
In the same Instagram post, Sussex Royal said, "Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days."
Meghan and Harry had teased their due date for a while, but never said the exact date for privacy reasons. The two are also not going to be showing their son for a couple of days, as they want their own traditions. Congrats to the new parents!
