You'll Feel Like You're In A Floral Fairyland At This Enchanting South Florida Garden

There's something about the Florida landscape that inspires a feeling of whimsey & beauty. Maybe it's the romantic hanging moss from the trees, the tropical breeze, or the flowers dotting Candyland twisting pathways; whatever the reason, you'll feel like you're in a floral fairyland at this botanical garden in South Florida.
McKee Botanical Garden is so much more than your average botanical garden. While you'll still see the beauty of flowers scattered across the parks 18-acres of lush landscape, you'll also find unique sculptures crafted with nature-inspired mediums that create a feeling of being whisked away to a tropical fantasy land.
One series of sculptures at the park were stick huts built by landscape sculptor Patrick "Stickman" Dougherty, which later fell after succumbing to the elements in 2018. The artist will return in 2020 to create a new one of a kind stick sculpture from willow saplings that's sure to add more magic back into the gardens.
Further adding to the fantasy are some seriously cool displays, like this one that feels like a fairy's cottage kitchen.
You can also find other buildings hidden throughout the park with some unique architecture that feels foreign; find the bamboo hut & forest that will make you feel like you've crossed the sea to Asia as well as admire sparkling ponds, & shimmering mini waterfalls.
If you work up the munchies after winding the whimsical trails, McKee's also has a snack bar. One Google review says the ice cream is quality — the perfect excuse to grab a cone with bae & stroll around the gardens on a romantic date that will make you feel like you're in a Hallmark Movie. If you don't have a babe, grab your best friend instead and enjoy the beauty of this floral whimseyland together.
