Following the announcement that Victoria's Secret will be closing dozens of US stores, Charlotte Russe is also among the many department stores struggling from declining sales. As a result, the company announced they have filed for bankruptcy and will be closing their remaining stores throughout the USA immediately.
According to the information posted by Fox News, the company, which operates over 500 brick-and-mortar locations throughout the United States is starting their closing sale starting today, March 7, 2019. Additionally, their online store has been closed.
While this may not be good news for the store, it's music to the ears of the shoppers looking to pick up some heavily discounted items. Items will not be returnable as all sales are final.
This is the message on their homepage:
Charlotte Russe was founded in 1975 by three brothers who were into the New York fashion scene. The retail was focused on appealing to young women. As of June 2014, there were over 560 stores throughout 45 states, many of which were located inside of malls. The company filed for bankruptcy on February 4, 2019.
Currently, no further information has been announced about their discounts.
