If you're in Miami you can feel like you're among the most high-class company. This Tuesday, David Beckham was openly claiming his allegiance to Miami by inaugurating Inter Miami's temporary stadium in Fort Lauderdale and making fashion show appearances among some of the world's biggest celebs.
David Beckham's Tuesday essentially resembled that of an ambassador of Miami. Beckham's day began at the new Lockhart grounds where Inter Miami is set to play their first two MLS seasons while the club's permanent facilities will undergo construction.
David Beckham has gotten very familiar with Miami over the past few years. As part of the soccer legend's contract with the former MLS team, LA Galaxy, Beckham had the option to introduce a new franchise to the league.
Becks chose Miami as the city for his expansion club. While it has been a bumpy road, to say the least, Beckham and his investment group seem to finally be months away from accomplishing their highly-anticipated dream of bringing a new soccer club to the Sunshine State.
Alongside co-owner Jorge Mas, Beckham welcomed a core group of Inter Miami supporters to display the progress that has been made at the Inter Miami CF Stadium. Both fans and construction workers seemed to be loving life as they got to acknowledge the progress made for this new MLS club and snap some photos with the soccer legend.
The acknowledgment of the hard work made by the construction crew was especially classy on behalf of Beckham and Jorge Mas.
However, Beckham's day was only beginning. The Inter Miami co-owner still had some representing to do on behalf of the 305. But first, the former soccer star had some re-fueling to do as he joined Mas for dinner at Argentine steakhouse Graziano's.
Once the sun set, Beckham shifted gears. While Beckham made his name on the soccer field, he is no stranger to the fashion world.
David joined some of the world's biggest celebrities while he made an appearance at the Dior 2020 Pre-Fall fashion show. Beckham is close friends with the luxury fashion house's men's creative director, Kim Jones.
Here's the Inter Miami owner as he poses next to Jones himself and rap superstar Travis Scott. If those backstage walls could talk...
Check out this front row at the actual show:
Yes, that's Maluma, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, James Blake, Whitney Harlow, Kate Moss alongside Beckham all in one front row. Now that is star power!
It was one heck of a day for Beckham., It's safe to say that Miami is in good hands as far as representation goes. Be on the lookout for more stadium ground developments as Inter Miami is set to debut against the LA Galaxy in March 2020.
