If you're a fan of the HBO show Game of Thrones, then you'll be a fan of this medieval epic festival. It's a place where you can dress and act like a queen, or pretend you're in the Battle of the Bastards. Florida's Rennaisance Fair will be hosting a Game of Thrones adventure themed weekend, and it's going to be mystical.
The festival will be hosted in Deerfield Beach with a special GOT adventure the first weekend on February 9th and 10th. This weekend will be all about intrigue, betrayal, power, mystery, royalty, and adventure at the Village of Kegsworthy.
You can play your fantasies at this festival and see as may Jon Snows as you want during this weekend. And, even if you miss this weekend you can attend the next 6 weekends and catch the medieval-inspired activities.
According to the show director, Richard Weber, the staff is being prepared for GoT storylines and you'll be able to see a lot of Daenerys. Michigan Renaissance Festival already has a GoT themed weekend but this is the first one for Florida.
The next weekends will include themes such as pirates, Vikings, and Harry Potter. Game of Thrones weekend will be extra special and will include fight demonstrations with knights.
Even though the show includes a lot of adult content, this is a family-friendly event that all can enjoy. Expect to see choreographed shows and people wearing their best warrior costume. The event also expects to have a replica iron throne for photos.
The tickets for the festival cost $25 for adults and $12 for children.
This festival will have you reaching for your sword and drinking lots of beer.
