Gold Coast Railroad Museum In Florida Offers Fee Free Days Every Month

"If it's free it's for me", the motto of people everywhere. In most cases it doesn't matter what it is, but even better when free accompanies something fun to do — like checking out the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Florida.

On the first Saturday of every month, the museum offers free admission to people wanting to explore the beauty and history of trains and railroads at their little spot in Miami.

The museum features a myriad of awesome historic train cars and displays for you to explore, including one that was used by Presidents Truman, Eisenhower, and Roosevelt.

Saving cash on admission affords you some additional experiences too, especially if you love yourself a little scenic train ride around their wooded property.

A 10-minute train ride on their Link train will only cost you $5, or you can cash in on a 25-minute ride in a cab car for $15. If you opt to not ride in a cab, it's only $6 and their speeder cart is even cheaper at $2 per person.

Their train graveyard offers a uniquely beautiful vibe too.

If you can't wait for the next free day in January, checking this spot out for the holidays is especially magical — with rows of lights and trains covered in twinkling displays.

Tickets to their holiday event are only $30 and will run on select dates until Dec. 24th.

If you're looking for the perfect place for a little weekend day date on the cheap, this is one museum you'll want to check out.
