This Nature Preserve Near Miami Is The Most Gorgeous Place To Be One With Nature

From land to sea, there is beauty everywhere at this nature center.

From land to sea, the Sunshine State is one of the most gorgeous places to live and explore. If you're looking for some of the best encounters with nature that Florida has to offer, Gumbo Limbo Nature Complex offers a wide array of ways to be one with nature - you'll want to grab your camera for this one.

Gumbo Limbo Nature Complex in Boca Raton Florida is a treasure trove of beautiful nature walks. With 20 acres of natural beauty on the protected barrier island, it provides refuge to some of Florida's best and rarest wildlife and sights. With a boardwalk winding through the trees, the Ashely Trail Butterfly Gardens, indoor and outdoor aquariums, and a sea turtle sculpture park, there is something here for every type of nature enthusiast.

Regardless of how you like to enjoy nature, you will be awed by all the sights that this nature preserve has to offer. A popular spot for photos is on the boardwalk; nestled amongst the trees, it will create the most beautiful green canopy covered backdrops for your Insta-feed. Check out some cute captures from Gumbo Limbo below:

After visiting the boardwalk, float gracefully through the Ashley Trail Gardens to make friends with beautiful butterflies in the shade.

Gumbo Limbo also has an aquarium where you can see thousands of tropical fish, seahorses, and even rescued baby sea turtles that are absolutely adorable. Sea turtles are known to flock to their beaches to nest too, so you might get lucky if you venture to the beach front on the preserve. You may get to see tons of cute little babies waddle their way down to the water for the very first time.

If you love turtles and want to support the rehabilitation efforts that Gumbo Limbo provides, they also offer the option to "adopt-a-sea turtle" that stays at the preserve. You get an adoption certificate for the sea turtle hatchling of your choice, and you get to name it; it also includes a letter from the hatchling, a magnet of your turtle baby, information about their conservation programs, and a marked sign used to identify a real sea turtle nest - and your contribution goes towards funding the rescue of more turtles in need.

To visit Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, they recommend donating $5. While admission is not required for your visit, that $5 goes towards helping more turtles in need as well as keeping the preserve beautiful and clean for you to enjoy again and again.

If you're ready to walk the boardwalk and become one with nature, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is located at 1801 North Ocean Blvd. Boca Raton, FL 33432. If you're wanting to come for the Aquariums, they're open 9 am - 4 pm Monday-Saturday, with Sundays being open 12 pm - 4 pm. You can peacefully stroll through the nature trails any day of the week from 7 am to dusk.
