Tyler Herro Got Penalized For Trash-Talking At Last Night's Game & Heat Fans Are Loving It

The NBA Regular Season is just around the corner. If the Miami Heat's preseason is of any indication, the Eastern Conference better get ready. The Heat have won all four preseason games, including its match Thursday night against the Orlando Magic.

While this preseason streak may come off as good news, it has no concrete consequences toward the Heat's efforts to return to the Eastern Conference playoffs after last year's absence. However, fans should be reassured by what the players have been showing on the court. One player in particular who has deservedly gotten plenty of love from Heat fans is rookie sharp-shooter Tyler Herro.

If you know nothing of Herro at all, this one play from Thursday's game will tell you everything you need to know about the promising rookie.

Heading into last night's game, Herro was already on good terms with Heat fans and NBA fans alike. The former Kentucky Wildcat has been raising eyebrows since the summer league.

Against the Atlanta Hawks, Herro scored the Heat's first 14 points and it only took him 5 minutes.

Against the Magic, Herro scored eight points. However, three of those points have Heat fans smiling from ear to ear and they don't even mind that there was a double technical at the end of the play.

The 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams got into it with Herro during the third quarter of the preseason game. Here's how the action played out:

Heat fans were digging it.

And they were not the only ones who approved of Herro's display of passion and intensity.

Jimmy Butler scored a game-high 23 points in Orlando and after the game, he was asked what he thought about Herro's first NBA scuffle.

At this point, we're all aware of Butler's and Herro's bromance. While we are still waiting for that dance-off to be scheduled, we're not surprised that Butler came to Herro's defense... sort of.

The Heat are back in Miami tonight as they are set to face the Houston Rockets for their final preseason game before next Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.
