Hello to new holiday traditions in Miami!
A Massive New 1-Acre Outdoor Ice Skating Rink Is Coming To Florida Soon

When you think of Florida, you certainly don't think of ice or snow — we are called the Sunshine State after all — however, the new ice skating rink coming to Miami will change your mind this holiday.

Jungle Island, home of the 13-acre Chinese Lantern Festival Luminosa, will ramp up their holiday vibes soon, debuting a new nearly 1-acre ice skating rink.

Unlike most Florida skate spots, this big beauty will be outdoors as Miami's only outdoor skating rink.

It will be completely surrounded by Christmas lights and other holiday decorations to whisk you away to a winter wonderland in spirit of the season.

The rink will open on December 21st*, staying open throughout the holiday season. It will close for the year on March 2nd, 2020.

Alongside the ice rink, the Jungle Gardens will feature additional activities including a fly with Santa experience and a vertical wind tunnel sky diving simulator.

Of course, Luminosa will also be in full swing, so feel free to wander the 13-acre trails illuminated with enchanting lanterns in many shapes, sizes, and colors.

If you're ready to slip and slide across Miami's only outdoor ice skating rink, you can find an overview of the opening and events at Jungle Island below.
