Miami Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel had some thrilling news for fans on Wednesday via Twitter; in looking for a new way for fans to experience the games they so love, he announced that a new gondola system will be built on the south side of the Hard Rock Stadium, where fans can get a birds-eye view of the game.

If you’ve ever been a short person at a sports game, you know that even in the raised stadium seats, the view can quickly become one of the backs of people’s heads, especially if you get stuck behind someone tall. Even for tall people, the experience of the game can be marred by view obstructions and other distractions, so this announcement comes with sky-high excitement.

The lift is scheduled to be finished just in the time for the Superbowl in 2020 and will cost about $3 million.

The gondola is meant more for entertainment purposes than transportation, and with a bird’s eye view of the crowds and even a clear shot of the Miami skyline, it’s easy to see why.

The gondola will be constructed by the same Austrian ski lift manufacturer who worked on the Disney Skyliner, Doppelmayr.

And while the cost of each ride and the capacity of each gondola is not yet clear, we’re sure die-hard fans won’t pass up this chance when the attraction is in full swing.

For more sky-high views, you can actually fly a real fighter jet at this spot in Florida, and you can look forward to more exciting Disney announcements with the first-ever Mickey-themed ride.
