The City Beautiful has turned more beautiful with a new art installation by Jessy Nite. Giralda Plaza opens today with a new public art installation called Sun Stories to make your summer tale more adventurous.
After the Umbrella Sky Project took over Coral Gables, residents and locals have been looking to fulfill their art cravings and now finally they have it!
The grand opening will take place on July 26th from 5 to 9 pm and will include activities that bring the colorful words to life. The art installation features bright words and letters which represents Coral Gables’ history and tropical life in South Florida.
Coral Gables was founded in 1925 and this city is best known for its Mediterranean style architecture with hidden landmarks such as Matheson Hammock Pavillion, Venetian Pool, Desoto Fountain, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and more.
The special grand opening will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony with interactive poetry sessions, a pop-up library, art activities for children, and great live music.
The multi-colored phrases hanging from Giralda Plaza will be there until September 22nd.
The lush landscape and European vibes surrounding Coral Gables is what makes this city as beautiful as its name.
According to Miami New Times, the plexiglass giant letters incorporate sayings such as "Made in the shade" and "Biscayne Bae" in a rainbow walkway that will make your summer feed more shiny and colorful.
