Before the end of the year, a small island in Miami will host a liberating and interactive artistic event you can't miss. An adventure amid music and good vibes facing the ocean. Rakastella 2019 is an underground dance extravaganza happening in Miami this December, bringing immersive sensory experiences to the surroundings of Virginia Key.
Rakastella, a word that means "making love" in Finnish, is a celebration of art, music, and life; and it's taking place in the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park as part of the Art Basel Miami Beach activities. The event is happening on December 7 and is organized by Innervisions and Life and Death.
If you enjoy Miami's other huge EDM music festival, Ultra, you will love this festival. The area will be full of stages with a variety of musical presentations happening at the same time, so you can dance all night. There will also be delicious cocktails, tasty bites, and free massages to help you relax in paradise.
One of the new attractions announced is the Hi-Fi Tea Garden, a chill-out space where you can enjoy organic tea blends and sets from a surprise DJ. Don't miss the Vinyl pop up shop, where you'll find hidden gems, memorabilia, and nostalgia.
Rakastella starts at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and ends at 7:00 a.m. the next day, so you have time to take advantage of everything the festival has to offer and sit in front of the ocean to see the sunrise.
Music is the main course for the evening, and this year's lineup is full of great DJs. Âme, Aurora Halal, Ben UFO, Dixon, DJ Minx, Jayda G, John Talabot, KiNK, Marie Davidson, Mor Elian, Oona Dahl, Palms Trax, Soul Clap, and Tara Brooks will be presenting credential in the event. There will be others yet to be announced.
Besides the music, artistic installations and decorated areas will be scattered on the premises, and each one will offer you a liberating experience that will stimulate your senses with art and music while you relax by the ocean and in the middle of nature.
