This pop-up experience will bring a tropical oasis to Wynwood Art District and it will be completely free to the public. You will be able to experience an Instagram-worthy experience in a travel-inspired tropical haven.
The POP Funhouse will feature eight Instagrammable rooms inspired by Puerto Plata’s hidden gems. Attendees can also win a trip to the island. The people who post a picture from the event to Instagram and tag @GoDomRep in the caption and use the hashtag #POPFunhouse are entered to win an all-inclusive trip for two to the paradise that is Puerto Plata.
The Dominican Republic POP Funhouse mobile museum will be open to the public for three days and if you get creative enough with your pictures, you might find yourself sipping mojitos in Puerto Plata this summer.

"The fact that a new species like this could be found in a fragment of endangered forest in the middle of the city underscores the importance of preserving these ecosystems before we lose not only what we know, but also what is still to be discovered," said Frank Ridgley, DVM, Zoo Miami's conservation & veterinary services manager. "Venoms of related species have been found to contain compounds with potential use as pain medications and cancer treatments."
The new species has not been documented anywhere else but the pine rockland fragments around the zoo. Only about 1.5% of the pine rocklands outside Everglades National Park are actually left in Miami-Dade County, leading researchers to believe the species may already be near extinction.
