This Series On Netflix Canada Just Topped "Stranger Things" Ratings For Season 3

Stranger Things, to us, almost defines Netflix. It's a show viewers always expect to hold the top spot in all things ratings because no one ever stops talking about our favorite '80s kids and their slightly irresponsible parents. But a new season of a Netflix Original premiered and broke one of Stranger Things record ratings. Money Heist on Netflix Canada got higher viewership ratings than Stranger Things.
The series premiered their third season just two weeks after Stranger Things on July 19. Money Heist, originally named La Casa de Papel, took the record for most views in an opening week from Stranger Things. 24 million households finished the third season in a week whereas Stranger Things only gathered 18.2 million views in its first few days.
The series also snatched the new record for most viewers from a Netflix Original non-English series with 34.3 million households tuning in.
Netflix describes the Spanish series as,
"Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan."
Fans also think that Money Heist is one of the best shows they've ever watched. One Twitter user even called the show, "a work of genius."
