Someone is walking around a multi-millionaire and doesn’t even know it yet. The $16 million Lotto 6/49 winner bought their ticket in Surrey, B.C. so if you happened to purchase a ticket in the area, you may want to check it ASAP. Think about all the online shopping you could do with that amount of cash.

Many of us spend our whole lives dreaming about one day winning the lottery

From epic quitting stories to heartwarming adventures, everyone has thought about what they would do if they won a large sum of money. And now, someone in Surrey will be living that dream.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) told Narcity in an email that someone took home the $16 million jackpot-winning ticket and they have yet to claim their winnings.

The draw on Wednesday, April 15 only saw one winner and altogether, they will be winning an astronomical $16,460,042.50.

According to the Lotto 6/49 website, the numbers were 1,3,7,13,22,47, with bonus number 30.

If you haven't checked your ticket yet, you may want to do it right now. You can either do this by checking online or by using the BCLC Lotto! app. What are you waiting for? Your life could be forever changed and all you need to do is check those numbers.

BCLC has yet to announce where the lucky ticket was purchased but once the winner comes forward to claim their life-changing prize, BCLC will release all the details.

This Surrey individual wasn’t the only person that won during the Wednesday draw.

On the BCLC website, it states that 78,858 people all over Canada won $10. It may not be $16 million but it’s also not nothing.

In addition, over 455,000 people won $3 free plays. Maybe next time one of them will be the lucky jackpot winner.

Don’t feel bummed if you didn’t win. The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. The jackpots set at a cool $5 million.

If you’re wanting to win even bigger, you can purchase a LottoMax ticket for Friday’s jackpot of $39 million.

Chump change to Kylie Jenner, this amount of money has the power to change lives. Or at least buy you a lifetime supply of hand sanitizer.
