In Montreal, cold temperatures never stop locals from having fun. After an especially icy but totally successful Igloofest, another epic outdoor festival is about to consume Quebecers starting on Thursday, February 20. The event is Montréal en Lumiére and it’s going to be unforgettable.
This event takes place annually and encourages everyone to face the cold to enjoy free activities including performances, vendors, and a massive illuminated slide that spans a whopping 110 meters. The thing is definitely not small.
It’s impossible not to feel like a kid again when you attend Montréal en Lumiére. The festival’s activities are equally loved by both children and adults.
This year, the festival is promising a ton of stimulating things to see and do including an extraordinary array of interactive light installations.
Most of all, we are so excited about the huge light slide. If you’re thinking this slide is just for kids, you better think again.
Everyone is invited to ride the slide for free, no matter how old they are. Oh, and the slide changes colour as you ride along.
Do you remember the “rainbow road” course from Mario Kart? That is exactly what this slide will remind you of. It really can't get more nostalgic than that.
This beloved Montreal festival is so much more than just illuminated attractions and activities. In fact, there is an entire gourmet village that will allow everyone to discover local eats and indulge in all the flavours that make the city unique.
There will be several free tastings as well as meet and greets with some of the biggest names in Montreal’s food scene.
