DoorDash Food Delivery Is Finally Available In Montreal Starting Today
Get ready to order tons of delicious food straight to your front door. Beginning today, DoorDash in Montreal is officially open for business.
DoorDash is a food delivery service app, similar to popular alternatives like UberEats, Grubhub and SkipTheDishes. What makes DoorDash unique is they'll be dishing out special promotions all month long that will save you tons of money.
As of Wednesday, Aug. 14, DoorDash will be officially launching their food delivery service in neighbourhoods across Montreal, Quebec.
The food delivery service will be available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Ahuntsic, Cartierville, Côte-des-Neiges, Décarie, Lachine, Monkland, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, TMR, Westmount and Ville Saint-Laurent.
One downside to choosing this app is that you'll have to pick from a selection of restaurants that are currently working with DoorDash, since they're new to the area, your options are a bit limited.
In contrast, apps like UberEats and SkipTheDishes may have more of your favourite spots already included in their never-ending list of restaurants since they've been available in the area for a while longer.
During August and September, DoorDash is offering a "Dînez pour Gagner" promotion to nearby residents. When a customer places an order, they will be entered into a draw to win prizes daily and weekly. The promotion will be live for the first 25 days of service in Montreal.
The daily prizes include daily credits ranging from $5 to $100. Weekly prizes include a pair of tickets to an NHL home opener in Montreal on October 10. Other big prizes include $1,000 airfare credit and $1,000 in DoorDash credits.
In addition to weekly and daily prizes, DoorDash will be offering no delivery fees on all orders over $10 for the first 30 days you use DoorDash in Montreal.
If you're interested, here are just some of the MTL restaurants that will be using DoorDash delivery: Boustan, Cacao 70, Mon Ami, Notre-Boeuf-de-Grace, Abe & Mary's, Poulet Rouge, Souvlaki Bar, La Belle ey la Boeuf and Bacaro.
Back in May, DoorDash announced that they were officially launching their food delivery system in their 50th Canadian city, Winnipeg. With the announcement, they also launched contests and prizes in honour of the celebration.
