Lobster rolls are that one dish that you have to try at least once in your life, but you usually have to live in the northern US on the water to have access to them anytime you want. Living in the South, we don't have the luxury of having true, authentic rolls, but that is about to change - at least for a day. This time next week we will be living our best lives because this pop-up in Nashville will give us the chance to indulge in our lobster needs.
Maine Shack originated in Denver, Colorado, but the owner and creator, Drew Ryan, is straight from New England. This special pop-up event will be happening on Wednesday, February 12 and you will not want to miss this once in a lifetime event. There will be six styles of lobster rolls and many different clam dishes, as well as a variety of beers from Maine.
Maine Shack is teaming up with Fat Kat Slim's in Nashville and the menu is going to be insane. There will be a pop-up menu from Maine Shack and a limited menu from Fat Kat's so you can have the best of both worlds.
This seafood joint might reside in Denver, Colorado, but the owner gets his ingredients and seafood delivered from the Gulf of Maine.
His fresh lobster is wild caught by a fleet of men and women by the Greenhead Lobster Company, so you know you're getting the real deal.
For the clams, they're shipped from Ipswich, Massachusetts and flown directly to Maine Shack every other day. Is your mouth watering yet?
Each of the lobster rolls includes a 4-ounce claw and knuckle meat on a butter-toasted New England frank bun. The rolls come with various toppings including brown butter, veggies and herbs.
This is only happening for one night from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. so make sure you get there before it begins because the line will be out the door.
