There's A Secret Bar Inside This Nashville Dessert Shop That Serves Boozy Milkshakes

Donuts + ice cream + liquor = a match made in heaven.
This Nashville Donut Shop Serves Boozy Donut Milkshakes & Has A Secret Bar

Donuts, milkshakes and alcohol: sounds like the triple threat of your dreams if you ask us. Sometimes you have to tame your sweet tooth by feeding it what is wants. Now you can indulge in sweet, creamy treats with a boozy twist to add a little relaxation to the mix. This Nashville donut shop serves up unique milkshakes blended with liquor AND donuts.

Donut Distillery in Nashville began as a food truck and now has a permanent brick-and-mortar location near the Five Points neighborhood full of local mom and pop shops. The restaurant opened in late 2018 and serves up boozy shakes and adorable mini donuts that will have you coming back for seconds (or thirds).

You can load up on super interesting bite-sized sugary donuts like Frosted Fruity (vanilla icing and Fruity Pebbles), Death by Chocolate (chocolate frosting, Oreos and hot fudge swirl) or Sweet Swine (maple frosting with homemade bacon bits). You can also opt for something tart with the strawberry lemonade donuts or even build your own.

The real winners are the spiked milkshakes that combine delicious ice cream, donuts and liquor with a donut on top (it's like the cherry on top, but better).

According to a Donut Distillery employee, the company did a lot of experimenting to figure out which donuts paired well with which ice creams and liquors.

Get your buzz going and your tastebuds singing with the fan favorite, Pirate in the Sand, featuring a yummy mix of cinnamon sugar donuts and Captain Morgan Dark Rum. Whiskey and tequila options are available too, like the whiskey glazed donut shake. The booze-filled creamy treats are only $9, which is less than many traditional cocktails.

You can also build your own and get virgin donut shakes too (the Fruity Pebbles shake is to die for TBH). The non-alcoholic shakes, donut sundaes and six-pack donuts are only $5 each.

Not into the whole 'mixing ice cream with alcohol' thing, but still want to drink? Donut Distillery is at your rescue with craft and domestic beer options, wine, canned cocktails and local cider from Diskin

If you're yearning for more boozy treats, try some NOLA classics with a twist at this trendy new bar that serves massive 3-gallon Hurricanes or spruce up your brunch game with this spicy Bloody Mary topped with an entire fried soft crab.
