Waterfall In Nashville Is Actually Hidden In The Suburbs

Hiking is a great way to welcome the warm weather coming up, but sometimes it's nice to be able to check out the hidden gems of nature without the strenuous exercise. This tiny waterfall in Nashville is actually hidden in a residential neighborhood. The plus is that you can explore its magic without breaking a sweat.

It's not every day you find natural wonders outside of woodsy trails and West Meade Waterfall in Nashville is anything but your average cascade amongst the brush. Typically, you have to hike through lots of forest to discover secret treasures, but this one actually sits in the suburbs.

Massive, towering waterfalls are definitely a big hit for nature-lovers, but the fact that this one is a miniature version makes it unique and super adorable.

It may seem odd when your GPS takes you to a cul-de-sac filled with houses, but that's exactly where you should be. These mini-falls are nestled behind two homes but sit on public property, so it's available for all to see.

It's best to visit after the area has had lots of rainfall because it feeds the flow, creating serene and beautiful rapids. Even if only a bit of water is trickling down, it's still a super cool place to explore and take pictures.

The waterfall is actually part of a four-acre piece of land bought by the Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation in 2014.

There are plans to turn the area into a park that would connect everything between Radnor Lake and Beaman Park.

This one-of-a-kind spot is one of Nashville's best-kept secrets, as there seems to only be a handful of locals who are aware of its existence. Now that you know, kick off your spring with something different.
