Natural Springs Near Central Florida Include Green Springs Park

The Sunshine State is full of wonders; from our white sand beaches to our natural Florida springs, there's truly no place in the world quite like this. If you are in search of a hidden paradise, there is a place so virescent that it seems unreal.

Green Springs Park covers 31 acres of pristine nature and a green sulfur spring like no other. This hidden whimsical paradise features nature trails and scenic overlooks with picnic pavilions. This landmark was important for Native Americans who believed the sulfur waters had healing properties.

The emerald-green water or as mentioned by an observer "delicate green waters" are as green as the trees surrounding the land. A day trip here will cure any jaded traveler.

This natural spring is one of the best sites to enjoy during a warm day in Florida. Also, Green Springs Park is worthy of an Instagram photoshoot session. The trail will lead you to a secret spot where there is a big oak tree which you can climb and jump from.

As mentioned by Susan, a Trip Advisor user, "Green Springs is a beautiful example of Florida untouched! Great walks through the park. A great quiet place to take a picnic lunch."

The park has free entrance and you can discover other trails including Spring-to-Spring Trail and the East Central Regional Rail Trail.

Green Springs Park offers a charming southern atmosphere with the Spanish moss covering the trees. You can make this your rest spot after a day biking or walking. This park was a tourist attraction back in the 1800s and now is a hidden haven for the local adventurer.
