Matthew McConaughey plays a lawyer in this 2011 crime thriller who faces a setback when he starts realizing that the man he's defending in court might not be so innocent after all.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Rating: 86% on Rotten Tomatoes

James Bond star Daniel Craig plays a journalist in this 2011 movie based on the novel of the same name. The psychological thriller pairs up Craig's character with a computer hacker played by Rooney Mara as they set out to find a missing woman who's been gone for 40 years.

I Am Mother

Rating: 90% on Rotten Tomatoes

This Netflix Original that was released earlier this year stars Hilary Swank and Rose Byrne. Clara Rugaard plays a teenage girl who has been raised by a robot (voiced by Byrne) and their relationship is threatened by Swank's arrival.

The Departed

Rating: 91% on Rotten Tomatoes

You'll find quite a few famous faces in this crime thriller that originally came out in theatres in 2006. Stars include Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Wahlberg. DiCaprio is an undercover agent and Damon is a spy and though they're set to attack each other, they instead decide to team up to destroy a gang.

This 2016 thriller is definitely not one you want to watch if you're home alone at night. The plot revolves around a writer who is deaf and lives in an isolated home in a forest when a murderer wearing a mask decides to terrify her as he tries to get into her home. Consider closing your blinds before popping this film on.
