Netflix Canada's Newest Christmas Movie "Holiday Rush" Is So Different From The Others

It seems like there's a new Netflix Original Christmas movie announcement every day now that the holiday is just over a month away, but this new Netflix reveal promises subscribers something different. There's no sappy love story about Royals falling in love or Christmas baking competitions in this Original. Netflix Canada's Holiday Rush promises to be one of the best 2019 Christmas movies.
Holiday Rush follows a famous radio DJ Rush Williams, who's also a single dad to four kids. After suddenly losing his job just before Christmas his kids still expect the Christmas they've been experiencing for years.
His producer and Aunt Jo band together to help him set up a new station. That also means he has to break the news to his kids that they'll be having a less-lavish Christmas.
While there are definitely still tropes that resemble a lot of other Christmas movies, Holiday Rush is bringing a new vibe to Christmas movies.
It's being praised for modernizing how Christmas movies should look in 2019.
From incorporating single dad representation to using vocabulary that's more relatable for younger viewers this movie is for anyone and everyone.
Holiday Rush stars Tamala Jones, Deon Cole, La La Anthony, Roscoe Orman, and Amarr M. Wooten. It was also directed by Leslie Small.
The film will hit Netflix Canada on November 28, the perfect time to start your holiday binge-watching!
