Netflix has been pumping out TV series and movies like it's nobody's business, but with that kind of production volume comes some flicks that are incredible and others that you are better off skipping. Though when it comes to the horror category, it seems like it's impossible for Netflix to not hit it out of the park, and their latest series is no exception.
When the trailer for The Haunting of Hill House first dropped this September, Netflix users were already warned the scare factor on this series was no joke. Even Stephen King gave his approval of the series earlier this month meaning this show was definitely not made for the faint of heart.
THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, revised and remodeled by Mike Flanagan. I don't usually care for this kind of revisionism, but this is great. Close to a work of genius, really. I think Shirley Jackson would approve, but who knows for sure.
The series serves as a TV adaptation to the novel by Shirley Jackson that follows a group of siblings now grown up who return to the house they lived in as children after their sister has reprtedly commited suicide. Resulting in a story that is so scary on it's own that it doesn't even need to rely on jump scares all that much.
Regardless of the warning, Netflix users flocked to the series in the spirit of spooky season whether they are used to horror movies and TV shows or not and the results were... a little gross. Many users admitted that parts of the show had made them vomit.
I had to take a break from the haunting of hill house
5 minutes into haunting of hill house Em: “I’m gonna vomit”
Man... the @haunting of hill house is so good. It makes me want to vomit, cry, and turn on all of the lights in the universe. Amazing storytelling. Incredible atmosphere.

The Haunting of Hill House was brilliant but terrifying and I’ll never sleep again
Even with the overwhelming respose to the series being that viewers will never be able to sleep again, horror buffs are obsessed with The Haunting of Hill House, some claiming it's one of the best of the year.
So clearly if you are a horror buff and you haven't checked out this Netflix series yet, you might want to get on that ASAP. If you aren't so much into scary stuff, maybe invite some friends over, turn every light in your house on, and lock all your doors and maybe that will be comforting enough for you to attempt to watch an episode or two.
