Netflix Is Launching An Open Casting Call To Star In A New Romantic Comedy And Canadians Can Audition
Netflix has quickly become part of many Canadians binge-watching routines. Most people can agree that the streaming service has quickly become the king of new television series and movies, including the best genre of all - romantic comedy.
Say what you want about the rom-com movie genre but one thing is true, love stories are the best stories. Now, Netflix has announced that they're working on a new teenage love story that's titled Tall Girl and will be hosting an international casting call to find their leading lady!

Tall Girl is the story of Jodi, who is the tallest girl in school and has never felt very comfortable in her own (very tall) skin. Standing at 6-feet tall, Jodi's story is meant to resemble the classic teenage rom-com films that John Hughes created back in the 1980's when she falls for an international exchange student, Stig, who is living with her best friend.
The best part of the new film is that Netflix is hosting an international casting call to find the woman or girl to play Jodi! That means that anyone, including Canadians, can submit a video audition to kickstart their acting career.
Netflix did say in their announcement that they are looking for actresses who are 5'10 and taller, but their audition website does give the option for shorter women to apply. They also confirmed that the casting call is on a worldwide basis and that females aged between 13 and 21 years old should audition.
The film is being cast by Barbara McCarthy, who actually also casted the new Netflix film Christmas Chronicles. All you need to do to audition is film yourself reading the two scenes provided by Netflix and you will be considered for the role of Jodi.
Casting officially opened on November 5th for submission and will remain open until November 21st. The newest Netflix rom-com is going to filming in January of 2019, so don't miss the opportunity to star in the next Sierra Burgess Is a Loser or To All The Boys I've Loved Before.
